FAQ

How is Migraine Mode different from Dark Reader?

Dark Reader focuses on dark themes. Migraine Mode puts dimming, tint, dark mode, paused animations, blocked autoplay and muted tabs behind one switch, with defaults explained by research.

Does it work on every page?

It works on normal websites. Chrome does not let extensions run on chrome:// pages or the Chrome Web Store.

How much does it cost?

$3 per month after a free one-hour trial that starts when you install it. No card is needed for the trial, and you can cancel anytime from Manage subscription.

Can it turn on automatically?

Yes. Add schedules in the side panel, for example every evening from 20:00 to 07:00 or weekdays only, and Migraine Mode turns itself on and off. Switching it by hand still works until the next scheduled change.

Can I keep it off on some sites, or use different settings per site?

Yes. The site list adds the current site in one click and sets it to always on, always off, or a saved preset. Rules include subdomains.

What happens when the free hour ends?

The filters turn off and the side panel shows a subscribe screen. Subscribe through Stripe and they come back right away.

Is it medical advice?

No. It is a screen-comfort tool. Talk to a doctor about frequent or severe headaches.

Not medical advice. Migraine Mode is a screen-comfort tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent migraine or any other condition. If you have frequent or severe headaches, talk to a doctor.
